My work is using digital programmes and digitally driven tools more and more, they are becoming a fundamental part of my practice. Working between the digital and physical throws up interesting results. There is something that happens in-between this process that draws me in and I'm keen to understand what this is. The computer monitor appears to be a divider that interprets this exchange between my drawn image and the computer programme that is attempting to translate the information. The screen is a third component that presents the image at certain scales, which is dependant on the resolution. What is thought provoking, is what is displayed on the screen is not potentially what will manifest as the printed result. I observe the screen flickering and creating grid-like patterns that I want to capture. I want to harness this activity and develop this in my work.
